Pahoa Shop — At Pahoa Shop, our mission is to serve as an on-line distributor of unique products that preserve the traditions of Old Hawaii. Many of these items can only be found at local farmers markets on the Big Island. Pahoa Shop makes them available to a broader audience and provides the craftspeople with another channel for sharing their gifts. We hope you find these items, their creators and their stories as interesting as we do.

Ho’ola Kūpa’a (Healing Hands) — Ronnette Gonsalves is the founder Ho’ola Kūpa’a, which is Hawaiian for "Healing Hands". She is the mother of seven children and was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Ronnette was first introduced to the traditional ways of healing by her grandmother, who was a healer for her village on the island of American Samoa. Using this information and the art of healing passed on to her by her father, Ronnette attended symposiums and seminars on the Hawaiian Islands. Over time, she developed the recipes used to make the Ho’ola Kūpa’a products.

All of the Ho’ola Kūpa’a products are made with oil that has been hand extracted from noni fruit, which grows in the tropical rainforests of the Puna district of the Big Island. Apply them topically to enjoy the antibiotic and healing properties of noni.

I have come now from Puna.
I have seen the women gathering noni,
Scratching noni,
Pounding noni,
Marking with noni.
